Shameless
The Gallagher family inShamelessis absolutely flawed , but they of course do have a lot of love for each other . Conflict has been a common root between them allsince the very beginning , but they often have been able-bodied to discover way to push through it . Thus , this has been able to make them a very fun family to espouse , as it certainly has been able-bodied to provide a lot of Platonism . This is even the font still with the show being in its final season .
However , there were a passel of previous characters who could have been intriguing fitsin the family . In some cases , they were former partners who should have been around more , while others may have just been smaller characters who provided a destiny of humor when around . The show certainly incorporate Kev and V as a part of the family , but other characters could have been excellent as long - term member too . It could have provided a spate of challenging plot line if the showrunners determine to go down this avenue a bit more .
Mikey
The friendship between Mikey and Frankwas so strong . It was a disgrace that it was shortly - lived though , as Mikey purposely go back to prison house to receive free aesculapian care . Mikey postulate to be a large part of the fellowship .
Although Mikey was flawed , it would have been coolheaded if he engaged with the other Gallaghers more . It was absolved that he meant a lot to Frank and it would have been hilarious if he partook in dotty jinks in their house .
Mandy
Mandy was the one who father by with Lip . It was grueling seeing her leave the serial , as she clearly cared about Lip more than anyone else . This was demonstrate by her doing everything for him , even if it was not appreciated in the slight .
Although Lip stop up having a babe with Tami , it could have been overnice if they resolve to make Mandy a bragging part of the Gallagher phratry . This did not come into fruition , but it for certain was warranted given how much Mandy loved Lip .
Jimmy
Jimmy was a part of the mob during the commencement season of the show , but it quickly ended . This was disappointing , ashis connexion with Fionawas simply the strongest out of any of the other military man she dated .
collapse the fact that he also dedicate a lot of time to them , it was strange that his story took such a dark twist . However , his vicious action made it inevitable . Had he opted to stave off that biography and amaze to aesculapian school , perhaps he and Fiona never would have broken up .
Sheila
Sheila could have been the motherly design that the Gallagher kids needed . It would have put less pressing on Fiona if Sheila had stuck around longer , but alas , this just did not pass .
Sheila also wasa right pardner for Frank , even though he take advantage of her far too often . Her kind nature would have been a good change for the family , as they were not like that most of the time . It ’s a ignominy that she was not a bigger part of the crime syndicate , even if she did get a happy ending with her character .
Professor Youens
Professor Youens was a respectable mentor for Lip while he was at school . His downfall with alcoholism was awful to see , as he was once a glimmer of hope for Lip and his future . The show should have avoided this plot line and gave him a more outstanding part for the rest of the family .
The Gallaghers definitely would have benefitted from him being their mentor . His wisdom could have helped them all not only academically , but also with all aspects of lifetime . It was a ignominy that the serial publication made him a light - terminus character at the end of the daytime .
Tommy
For somebody who was in the series from the beginning , it ’s strange that Tommy did not have more interactions with the ease of the class . He in the main spend clock time with Frank at the bar but did show some sake in what was going on in Lip ’s life .
Tommy really deserved a bounteous character within the Gallagher category , as he in the end had seen them all grow up from afar . Also , he seemed to be a well someone than Frank , so he could have provided advice and aid the younger Gallaghers especially .
Amanda
Amanda was ashort - lived girlfriendof back talk ’s . She had her flaw , sure , but she could have been given a more big role with the family . She come in from a wealthy family , so it was hard for her to relate to the others , but she did give care about Lip deeply .
Amanda was another girl of Lip ’s who he treat rather badly , but she did not deserve it . She was reasonably good to Lip for the most part , so it could have been nice if they gave her more picture with the Gallagher family .
Derek
Derek was Franny ’s father , so he perfectly needed to be more present with the Gallagher family . Debbie may have forced the pregnancy when she designedly stop taking her pill , but Derek instantly refused to aid with the baby at all .
Derek ultimately should have been a big part of Franny ’s life history . He had every right to be upset with Debbie over how this situation occurred , but he should have at least been there for the baby . Overall , this was just a mess of a plot line from the serial at the terminal of the day .
Mike
Fiona and Mike had the potential to be a good kinship , but that just did not befall . Fiona infamously hooked up with Mike ’s brother , Robbie , which lead to the pass completion of their relationship .
Mike was the person who could have consecrate Fiona a good and firm life . That would have meshed with the full Gallagher family because they needed it mischievously . Alas , this did not end up occurring , as Fiona like royalty messed upone of the best opportunities for her .
Karen
Karen was a blemished character , as she of course was rather abusive towards Lip . However , she did become very close with him and should have been given the hazard to have a heavy role within the entire family .
Karen was Lip ’s first sexual love and at the house often , but did not drop a plenty of metre with the rest of the menage . It was a ignominy that her character ended up having such a tragic last due to the Mandy , as her being around more had the hazard of supply a peck of cool storylines for the series .
