Master Chief Sees A Bird On Aleria Before Vannak’s Funeral
As the life sentence drains from Vannak , the last thing the Spartan sees is a shuttlecock flying away from the destructionand chaos on Reach . Not only is the imagery a call back to Vannak ’s first scene in episode 4 , but a key thematic nod . After the Fall of Reach , the survivors of the invasion country on Aleria to reorganize . While Halsey and Aleria ’s doctors tend to Riz ’s wound — injury she sustained while going back for Vannak ’s body — Master Chief brood on the porch of the aesculapian construction .
In Halo time of year 2 , sequence 5 , " Aleria , " Kwan Ha ( Yerin Ha ) experiences a strange visual modality that has Brobdingnagian implications for Halo season 3 ’s looming tale .
